You may have found some hair mask options for your skin, but what about the potential of using raw Manuka honey for your hair’s benefit?  There are several ways in which you can put it to work so that your hair can enjoy hydration, strength, and a healthy glow that’s going to feel as good as it looks.  Some of the most popular options include:

Honey and water

This is about as basic as it gets -- in a good way.  It could be a replacement for shampoo whenever you wish to use it.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp of Manuka honey

3 tbsp of filtered water

3 Drops of Essential oil

Direction: Add 1 tbsp of Manuka honey with 3 tbsp of filtered water, and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil, too.  Mix it all together, and then massage it into your scalp after wetting your hair.  Then rinse this Manuka honey hair mask off as usual.  Voila.

Honey and milk

Ingredients:

2 tbsp of Manuka honey

¼ cup of milk

Directions: For this one, you’ll enjoy a creamier consistency.  Add in 2 tbsp of Manuka honey with ¼ cup of milk.  Mix together by shaking in a bottle and then apply to your hair after wetting it.  Rinse out as normal.

Honey and coconut oil

 Ingredients:

1 tbsp Manuka honey

1-3 tbsp of coconut oil

Direction: For a classic and straightforward Manuka honey hair mask, you will mix 1 tbsp Manuka honey with between 1-3 tbsp of coconut oil (depending on your hair’s natural oil amount) in a saucepan.  Heat on low and mix together thoroughly.  Using a clean, fresh brush, carefully apply it to wet or dry hair.  To keep it from messing with your natural hair oils, focus on the ends and lengths, leaving 1 inch or so between the mask and the scalp.  Let it sit in your hair for about 30 minutes, then wash off with your regular shampoo.
